Owned by the independent Inver House Distillers, Balmenach has not bottled in years. Instead it is used heavily in producing blends of Johnnie Walker and other top tier blended scotches.

Balmenach’s production methods have remained largely unchanged over its long history, using methods other distilleries find antiquated and slow, further adding to its unique character. In fact it is one of the few remaining distilleries in Scotland to still use worm tub condensers to add a level of complexity simply not found in other single malts.
