Owned by the second largest drinks company in the world, Pernod Ricard, Glenburgie forms an integral part of Ballantine's, the second most consumed scotch in the world. Ballantine’s is the whisky of choice across Southern Europe, due to being the first one to break into this notoriously tough market.
In 2003, Pernod completely rebuilt the entire distillery only retaining the traditional stills to preserve the profile. Production was doubled over the following years to produce 4,200,000 litres of pure alcohol per year.
